These were purchased to protect new furniture from pet hair stains, and I would think work equally well for adults with incontinence or the chronically messy. I have a second recliner size 60 x cover in the same colors listed separately, and also sofa-size one separately - chocolate brown on side, reverses to cappuccino beige other. It says that also protects from scratches, but my elderly pet had no claws. These are waterproof, look neat, and have a soft, silky feel.

They have been cleaned. The covers were very gently used, and have no flaws, as my pet passed away just a few weeks after I bought them. I can attest that found them to be completely waterproof as stated. The icing on cake is that there no irritating crinkly noise.
